Trauma &
PTSD
What happened to you left a mark. CPT can help you process it, challenge the stuck points, and reclaim your life.
What It Is
Understanding
trauma & PTSD
Trauma is any experience that overwhelms the mind’s ability to process it. PTSD develops when the nervous system stays stuck in survival mode long after the threat has passed — showing up as flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, emotional numbing, or avoidance of anything that reminds you of what happened.
Trauma doesn’t require a single catastrophic event. Childhood neglect, chronic emotional abuse, medical trauma, and systemic harm all leave real marks that deserve real care.
June’s Approach
Cognitive Processing
Therapy (CPT)
June is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, a structured, evidence-based treatment developed specifically for PTSD and widely recognized as one of the most effective approaches available. CPT works by identifying and challenging “stuck points” — unhelpful beliefs that formed in the aftermath of trauma — and replacing them with more balanced, accurate ways of thinking.
The goal is not to relive the trauma, but to change your relationship to it so it no longer controls your present.

Trauma education
Understanding how PTSD works — and why your responses make sense — reduces self-blame and builds a foundation for change.
Identifying stuck points
You and June identify the specific beliefs formed in the wake of trauma that are keeping you stuck in pain.
Challenging and restructuring
Using CPT worksheets and guided questioning, stuck points are examined and replaced with more accurate, balanced thoughts.
Consolidating gains
The final phase addresses broader themes — safety, trust, power, esteem, intimacy — and prepares you for life after treatment.
