Meet June

The map and compass
are mine.
The vehicle is yours.

I bring the training, the frameworks, and the evidence-based tools. You bring your life, your pace, your direction. Therapy here is a collaborative study — and you are the most important subject.

About June

Meet June Pittman

June founded Positive FX Counseling & Wellness on a simple belief — that every person, regardless of background, faith, or identity, has the innate capacity to heal and grow.

As a mother of five, June brings a deeply personal understanding of the demands of family life, parenting, and the resilience it takes to show up for others while navigating your own challenges.

As a Military-Informed provider with extensive post-graduate training in clinical trauma, June works with teens and adults across Florida via secure telehealth, offering a trauma-informed and identity-affirming space for all. View all services →

The Field Guide

Credentials that
map the terrain

In the military, you're trained to be an expert in your MOS, your gear, and your mission. The same level of elite focus belongs in mental-health work — especially for veterans, service members, and their families.

These credentials are the field guide I bring. They're the map and the compass. You are the one driving the vehicle.

Clinical credentials

  • MS, Counseling Psychology Palm Beach Atlantic University, 2017
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor Florida LMHC #MH 19050
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy Certified Evidence-based PTSD and complicated-grief protocol
  • Tier 1 Military Cultural Competence Specialized military-family certification, 2024
  • Advanced Dual Certification: Trauma & Grief In progress

Philosophy

What guides this
practice

Whole-Person Care

Healing isn't one-size-fits-all. Your history, identity, and strengths shape the plan.

Evidence-Based Methods

CPT, CBT, and trauma-informed modalities with decades of research behind them.

Radical Inclusion

An affirming space for everyone — veterans, teens, adults, and elders. Everyone deserves to feel seen.

HIPAA-Compliant Telehealth

All sessions run on a HIPAA-compliant, end-to-end encrypted video platform with a signed Business Associate Agreement. Notes are kept in a HIPAA-compliant electronic health record.

Outcome Tracking

Progress is tracked session-over-session using validated, evidence-based outcome measures (PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5 as appropriate) so you can see the work landing, not just feel it.

Six Concepts

The Japanese ideas
that shape this work

Six gentle frames I return to with clients. Each lives somewhere in the work — in a quiet moment, a turn of phrase, a way of holding what cannot yet be solved.

Kintsugi Golden Repair

The cracks are not flaws. They become part of the beauty, part of the story.

Kaizen Continuous Improvement

Lasting change happens in small daily increments, not grand leaps. The accumulation is the magic.

Gaman Enduring with Dignity

The grounded strength that carries you through hard chapters — without breaking you.

Yutori Spaciousness

The room between a trigger and your response. The margin most nervous systems have lost.

Oubaitori Never Compare

Cherry, plum, peach, apricot — each blooms in its own season. Your timing is not a verdict.

Shikata Ga Nai Quiet Acceptance

Meeting what cannot be changed without spending the rest of your life fighting it.
