Getting Started
The first step is reaching out. Call (561) 363-7542 or submit the contact form. June will schedule a free 15-minute consultation to discuss what's bringing you to therapy, answer your questions, and determine if it's a good fit. From there you'll schedule your first full session.
The 15-minute consultation is an informal conversation. June will ask a few questions about what's going on and what you're hoping to work on. You can ask anything about her approach, experience, or how sessions work. No pressure, no commitment required.
The first session is a 60-minute diagnostic intake and evaluation. June will ask about your personal history, what brings you to therapy now, and what your goals are. You will not be expected to share more than you're ready to. This session shapes the treatment plan that guides all future work together.
June works with teenagers (12+), adults, and elders across Florida via telehealth. She specializes in anxiety and depression, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, veterans and military, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. All backgrounds, faith traditions, and identities are welcome.
June is licensed in Florida and can only see clients physically located in Florida at the time of each session. This includes snowbirds, seasonal residents, and remote workers temporarily in the state.
Insurance & Billing
June is in-network via Headway with: Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna and Evernorth, Florida Blue, Optum, Oscar Health, Oxford, UnitedHealthcare / UBH, and Ascension SmartHealth. Coverage varies by plan — verify your benefits during the free consultation.
Superbills are available upon request. Many plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. You pay the session rate upfront and submit the superbill to your insurer. Check your plan's out-of-network mental health benefits before your first session.
Initial intake and evaluation: $200. Ongoing 60-minute individual psychotherapy: $175. The 15-minute consultation is always free. Payment is processed securely through Headway at the time of service.
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before your first session if you are uninsured or not using insurance. June will provide this upon request. Read the full notice.
Sessions & Scheduling
All individual therapy sessions are 60 minutes, including the initial intake. Sessions are held entirely via secure video telehealth.
Most clients start weekly. Research consistently shows this pace produces faster progress. As you build skills and work through your goals, frequency may shift to bi-weekly. The schedule is always based on your needs and what's realistic for your life.
June is available most weekdays and some evenings. Availability varies. Call or submit the contact form to see real-time openings when you book.
Cancellations and reschedules require at least 24 hours notice to avoid a late-cancellation fee. Life happens — communicate as early as possible. Recurring late cancellations may affect scheduling priority.
Some clients address a focused concern in 8 to 12 sessions. Others benefit from longer support over several months or more. The goal is progress toward your stated goals, not indefinite dependency. June reviews progress regularly and adjusts accordingly.
Telehealth & Technology
Sessions use a HIPAA-compliant encrypted video platform. Before each session you'll receive a secure link. Click it, allow camera and microphone access, and June joins at the scheduled time. No app download required for most devices.
A device with a camera and microphone (phone, tablet, or computer), a stable internet connection, and a private space where you feel comfortable talking openly. Headphones help if you're in a semi-private space.
If video drops, try refreshing or rejoining via the link. If the problem continues, June will call you directly at the number on file. You are never charged for time lost to technical issues outside your control.
Yes. Research consistently shows telehealth produces outcomes comparable to in-person therapy for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and grief. Many clients find it easier to open up from their own environment. The therapeutic relationship and the methods matter more than the medium.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Yes. Everything you share is protected under Florida law and professional ethics. June will not disclose your information without written consent, with limited legal exceptions: imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult, or a valid court order.
Yes. All sessions use a HIPAA-compliant, end-to-end encrypted platform with a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Sessions are never recorded without your explicit written consent. Consumer apps like Zoom, FaceTime, or Google Meet are not used.
When insurance is used, your insurer receives a diagnosis code and service codes for billing. Session content is never shared with your insurer, employer, or anyone else without your written authorization. If disclosure is a concern, self-pay keeps more of your information private.
You have the right to informed consent before treatment begins, to ask questions about your care, to receive a copy of your records, and to end therapy at any time without penalty. You may also file a complaint with the Florida Department of Health. June provides a full informed consent document before your first session. Read our Privacy Policy.
